The BEST ‘Annabelle’ Yet! A Effectively-Needed Installment
I’ve been a giant fan of The Conjuring Universe ever because it birthed in 2013 with James Wan’s very first masterpiece. Three years later he gave us The Conjuring 2, which in my view was simply as nice – if not better – than the first! Aside from The Conjuring movies, the sequence expanded right into a “universe” with various spin-offs. First there was Annabelle (2014), which was first rate however not nice, then Annabelle Creation (2017) which was EXCELLENT, then there was The Nun (2018) which was fairly okay, but could’ve been better. Now for Annabelle Comes Home. Every little thing about this latest installment is brilliant (the plot, setting, atmosphere, actors, characters, direction, and the creative, non-repetitive scares). The concept of Annabelle the doll unleashing evil in The Warrens’ artifact room is an excellent idea, and the movie did a wonderful job delivering that concept. I personally visited The Warrens Occult Museum a couple of years ago and I believed to myself, “What if all these creepy artifacts came to life one night time?” It was a notion in the back of my head. I by no means dreamt it will flip into real movie! Anyway, I need to say – this movie had me on the edge of my seat. Not solely was it suspenseful, creepy, eerie, darkish, and twisted; it launched me and the franchise to new, sinister demons! The Bride demon scared me the most. She jogged my memory of Valak from The Nun, but in a wedding dress. Gary Dauberman actually did an excellent job for his directorial debut and he did an ideal job with the “soar scare” restraints. He added lots of pressure and construct up when it came to the scary parts. He did not resort to low cost, uninspired soar scares nor did he need to depend on them to make this film effective! I additionally loved the looks of Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as Ed and Lorraine Warren, which was the “cherry on the highest” of a great horror film. Even when their appearances have been limited, their characters are still as strong as ever and their chemistry continues to shine. Overall, I actually enjoyed Annabelle Comes Home and I believe it is THE BEST installment in the ‘Annabelle’ trilogy. The acting was nice, the setting and environment was good, the characters had been very likable, the scares had been very original and artistic, it had its sad and emotional moments, the varied demons have been completely creepy and had their very own traits, and it was filled with suspense and dread. I particularly love how they dedicated the movie to Lorraine Warren through the finish credit, who sadly handed away back in April. It’s a true disgrace she did not get to see this fascinating installment in a film collection that wouldn’t exist if it hadn’t been for her and Ed. Annabelle Comes House was a well-wanted installment in The Conjuring Universe and I extremely suggest it. It’s totally different from the others. I give it a ten/10 and five stars!
